About us

7 are the roots on which our Mission is based:

  • We provide all our employees with an ethical and stimulating environment in which to find happiness and fulfilment.

  • We reduce the processing of raw materials to the minimum possible, in order to provide our customers with the best nuts and dried fruit every day.

  • We invest in renewable energy, in minimizing packaging waste, and in developing more sustainable packaging to safeguard our Planet.

  • We believe in lasting relationships with our suppliers as the only way to ensure a good standard of living while providing the best possible product to our customers.

  • We support the Italian market and our region by preferring local suppliers whenever possible.

  • We choose customers and suppliers who share our values.

  • We promote a proper lifestyle through projects and events aimed at the community.

Our history

Founded in 1979, Euro Company produces, selects, and markets nuts and dried fruits in Godo di Russi, in the heart of Romagna.

In these 40 years our community has grown steadily and counts today more than 400 employees, with an average age below 40. Thanks to an almost total presence on the Italian market, every day more than 400,000 consumers buy our products, appreciating their quality and sharing their values.

Cardinal point of the company’s vision is, in fact, to be a reference point for healthy and sustainable food, putting health, the planet, and respect for people at the heart off all we do, with the ultimate goal of influencing the entire food industry.

Ethical quality

Euro Company turned a Benefit Corporation in 2018 and certified B Corporation in 2019.

“Certified B Corporation” is a trademark licensed by B Lab, a private non-profit organization, to companies like ours that have successfully completed the B Impact Assessment (“BIA”) and therefore meet the requirements set by B Lab for social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. It is specified that B Lab is not a conformity assessment body as defined by Regulation (EU) No 765/2008, nor is it a national, European, or international standardization body as per Regulation (EU) No 1025/2012.The criteria of the BIA are distinct and independent from the harmonized standards resulting from ISO norms or other standardization bodies, and they are not ratified by national or European public institutions.

We have given ourselves an internal protocol, Ethical Quality, based on 4 pillars, which guide us in our choices. For us, Ethical Quality is the model to be inspired by, in order to establish increasingly ethical supply chain relationships and offer consumers the best possible product.
Over the years, we have progressively increased the number of supply chain relationships based on this protocol and will continue to do so in the coming years.

Fermentino project

In Euro Company we believe that products represent the way in which, concretely, we drive our values. The Fermentino project was born in 2015, through a collaboration with the University of Bologna, with the aim of giving our customers innovative products without preservatives, additives, palm, coconut or soy oil. Our goal is to guarantee organic products, 100% plant based and natural, to give consumers a healthy, tasty and genuine product.

Today, five years after the start of the project, we are distributed in Italy and in over 10 countries in Europe.

The success of our project has been recognized not only by consumers, but also by the events and trade fairs in which we participated.

Sana Novità 2017, Best New Organic Product Award at N.O.P.E 2017 (London) and Best Sustainable Product at UP Wabel 2019 (Paris) are the awards we have won so far with fermentino. These awards are not a point of arrival: rather, they are a source of inspiration and motivation to dedicate ourselves to future projects with the enthusiasm we have always shown.
